Women’s Championship welcomes St. James’s Place Wealth Management
The Women’s Open Keelboat Championship is delighted to announce the support of Bob Clitherow of the St. James’s Place Partnership as sponsor for the shore side social event next Saturday 4th July, where anyone is welcome to join the party and tickets are available from the Royal Southern Yacht Club, Hamble.
The Women’s Open Keelboat Championship this year coincides with the end of Hamble Week. What better venue than the Royal Southern Yacht Club then to hold a party, with the best view of the fireworks?
This is the view of Bob Clitherow of the St. James’s Place Partnership, all set to sponsor WOKC this year at the evening gathering. Bob is a prominent local yachtsman known and loved by many on the Hamble and in Southampton, and he was delighted to be involved this year.
St. James’s Place Partnership is the advisory channel for St. James’s Place Wealth Management. The essence of business at St James’s Place Wealth Management is the provision of personal, face-to-face wealth management to a variety of individuals. As with his sailing, Bob enjoys experiencing the entirely different circumstances every client relationship brings.
Further entries at WOKC 2009 are coming in, with several J/109s including Kirsty Apthorp’s “J-Dream” and an Oxford University crewed boat, “Beth”. One to watch is the J/97 “Coffin Mew with J/UK” entered by Marie-Claude Heys of J/UK and Sally Pike of Coffin Mew, a brand new J Boat which has had a fantastic start to its racing career achieving second place in class in the Round the Island Race last weekend, coming in only three minutes behind the first placed boat.
Team Breast Cancer Care is also getting its show on the road with pink T-shirts ordered and fundraising under way at www.justgiving.com/gillianross4. There will be plenty of charity fundraising at the “Frocks and Flipflops” party to include a fantastic raffle where prizes include a framed Ingrid Abery print and there will be the chance to have your crew photographed in return for a donation.
Bob from the St. James’s Place Partnership is also joining in the party fun by providing a draw for a Magnum of champagne. He said “I know the yachting world well and recognise that the people involved with this event want to race competitively but party hard too. What better way to support this than with a draw for a bottle of St. James’s Place Wealth Management bubbly?! We are delighted to be working alongside marine retail heavyweight Dubarry of Ireland and regional solicitors Coffin Mew and look forward to seeing everyone on the night”.
