Accomodation Info

Hamble isn't a big place, and is very busy in summer so accomodation is a key item to sort out once you've decided to enter the WOKC!

Many of you racing in the IRC handicap fleet may choose to stay on the boat you are racing on. (Please see the berthing section for information on places to park your yacht!) However if you are racing something a little more sparten or can't accomodate everyone on board there are a number of accomodation options....

RSnYC

The club accomodation is available to visiting sailors. The club provides high quality B&B accomodation within the main clubhouse in the centre of Hamble. 11 rooms are available.

Hamble has one campsite at Riverside Park next door to Mercury Yacht Harbour. The site offers camping facilities for tents and caravans, plus it has self catering chalets to rent (see self catering section). Located approximately 15 mins walk from the club (or 5 mins ride by bike - these can be hired from the caravan park). The park has a small shop on site, and a restaurant and chandlery are located in the marina next door (2 mins walk).

Riverside Park - Chalets available to rent for 4 - 6 persons in Hamble. Park includes a small shop and is next door to Mercury Yacht Harbour which has a chandlery and restaurant.

Compass Point - A small B&B with 3 bedrooms that can sleep up to 8 people, which can also be rented as a whole for self catering groups. Address: High Street, Hamble. Tel: 07850 775020

Foredeck Cottage - Cottage which sleeps 4 people, located in Swanick, next door to Premier Marina, (includes chandlery, sailmakers, laundry and restaurant.) Approximately 15 mins drive to Hamble and RSnYC (depending on traffic!)

Woodend Bungalow - Bungalow which sleeps 4 people, located in Old Bursledon. Approximately 10 mins drive to Hamble and RSnYC. Quiet location away from the bustle of Hamble Village.

Hotels

There are no hotels in Hamble, however there are a number of good hotels in the Southampton area ranging from travel lodge style accomodation to 5*. All hotels are a minimum of 20 mins drive time from Hamble.

Staying with other sailors

If you are unable to stay on your boat and there are financial constraints to booking your own accomodation please do get in touch. We don't want anyone to not enter the event because they can't afford somewhere to stay, we've all struggled to pay for our sailing habit at one time or another, you are not alone!
